Uchiha Itachi wiped out everyone in his clan, only leaving Sasuke alive. what made him do this was he insane? was it so he could unlock his Mangekyou eye? Discuss this topic here.

i find that pretty weird i mean everyone wasent there one guy who was stronget than him.... they could of jumped him

they were trying couldnt energy waves and stuff in the flash back but thats not the point why did he do it?

maybe to start a new clan that will exceed the old one n probably left sasuke alive to see if it was worth it something like that
or just felt disgusted how the clan was probably

Or something like that in the anime?
